As of Wed PM we had no intentions of racing Opening Day. Thursday PM the weather forecast for Fri was 80's, the car was basically ready from last season, new tires due to rain outs, fuel jugs were full and we were off on Friday. Got the car back together and started it Fri AM. Fired up like it hadn't set all winter. Loaded up Fri afternoon and headed to Littlestown, PA. Only 21 cars on hand for the opener. Started last in heat #2. Setup wasn't the best and got stuck behind a slower car that wasn't worth taking a chance on a wreck. Started 20th in the feature. Finished 10th, our best ever!! We are currently tripled for 11th place at TW!!! Terry picked up the old routine right away and never missed. She instantly remembered "the fun" when they called an open red on the third lap of the race allowing the race teams to fuel their cars. I was directly across the track from where she videos. Thanks to the Emlet pusher car for helping her with the fuel and funnel. A great finish in a wild night which saw a car clear the trun #1 fence. We we got the car back in the trailer with no damage. A win - win for BMS!!! On the way home we remarked at how we enjoyed the hard work, sweat and dust of racing.... | 24 |

Trail-Way Speedway | Finally a week to race! Terry's girlfriend Desiree was there watching/helping us. Weather was warm with a slight chance of rain later in the evening. Got the car out for heat in the motors. They called the first set out for hot laps (we were set #3) and we climbed up the stands to watch. Started pouring, then rained harder, gusty winds, then some hail! Lasted only 5 minutes but the pits were solid mud. Within 15 minutes they called the night. We helped each other put our cars up and stayed and talked with some of the other race teams before heading home. :( | 18 |

Trail-Way Speedway | Finally a week to race! The Trail-way / Lincoln Speedway Shootout! 27 Cars in attendance. The weather was cool for Aug but no one was complaining. Got the car out for heat in the motors and it was hooked up. The setup was right on and we kept ahead of the car behind us, really running hard. We were in heat #1 so left the setup in the car as was since it handled so well. On the first lap in our heat the #33 car spun in front of us as we entered turn #4 and I swerved to miss him just making slight contact with his rear bumper. This caused my front wheel to turn sharply and started me flipping. Luckily no major damage (engine, frame, rear end) to the car, I was fine and even got to ride in the tow truck! Had the car back together by Sat afternoon. First Career flip after almost 50 races over almost 4 seasons! Thanks to the owners of the 10W for the help getting parts swapped and the car into the trailer. :) | 6 |

Trail-Way Speedway | Back to the track! 25 Cars on hand. We got the car back together mid day Saturday (8/7) but decided to use a spare wing we got with the older car and had never used. Hot laps were OK and all seemed well. We were in the 1st Heat. Started last finished 8th. Car wasn't quite right (not at all as good as last time) and the wing started to separate. Made setup changes for the Feature (the Consi was cancelled since one car cancelled) Started 22nd in the feature. Car handled OK until the first Red. Wing started to separate more and handling got worse as the laps went on. Pulled in on lap 17 and finished 18th. Was great to be back and Terry made sure the car was ready to go!!
